Reasons to watch movies........ or not.

Movies, that I really enjoyed, but I don`t go back to. e.g. The Godfather, Dances With Wolves, The Untouchables.

Movies, I watch when they are on tele, even though I have the dvd. e.g. Independence Day.

Movies, that are my all time favourites, but I am trying to avoid so I can eventually watch them again. e.g. Life of Brian.

Movies, I can dip in and out of, just watching bits at a time. e.g. Truman Show.

Movies, I keep trying to watch because people tell me they are great, but I still don`t enjoy. e.g. Blues Brothers.

Movies, I thought were not very good, so when I watched the second time, they seemed better. e.g. Star trek Nemesis

There are plenty of other examples for these categories and probably more categories, but that`s all you`re getting for now.

Geeky stuff

I don`t follow many blogs. The main exceptions are Maine Mummy and my daughter`s Geekmom blogs. I never felt the need to write a regular blog, but feel I could add something to the geek world, after all, I own a shop, pretty much full of geek stuff. Today, we received an order of Bullyland toys, which included a bunch of toys from Cars 2, the follow-up to one of my all-time favourite movies. Of course, I have put aside some of them for my grandson, Toby. We`ll have fun watching the dvd in November, when I am over in Maine, on the Christmas present run. The point is, I am more inclined to watch animation than ordinary movies. I sell all manner of horror and sci-fi movie toys and collectables, but have never seen Freddy Krueger or Chucky movies. Not interested. No way. Cartoons are more fun. Disney rules, Shrek sucks.

N.E.C. Toy Fair

This is directed at my one and only follower [so far], who said I hadn`t blogged for a while. Here goes with a non-Toby blog. On sunday, June 6th, I had a table at the N.E.C. Toy Fair. First one since this time, last year. My cousin Paul came with me. Lots of old, familiar faces. It is stuck in a bit of a time warp, but still has plenty of interesting items down every row. The ugly mug behind the table is Paul. Although I said this was not about Toby, I did get a Percy toy for him. Apparently, he loves the Thomas stories.

Webcam adventures.

Since the Pinaults went back to the States, we have webcammed twice, while Toby has been in his chair, eating his supper. It`s the only way to keep him in one place for any length of time. Usually, he runs from room to room, doing busy work.

So the Pinaults were here for a week and lots of fun was had by all. The boy is growing fast and it will be september before I see him again. Except for webcams of course. Bless technology.
